05 Bumper On (Edited to add day pics)

Being the first 05 owner to have the cool Shrock bumper, I hope to be the first with the AC lift (coil springs & AAL) and the bumper and also the Shrock skids for the 05.

I am also close (as soon as I get back to the US) to committing to some aftermarket wheels that I think might clear the front brake calipers).

As I get more, there will be pictures posted.

Not much, i thought that would bother me too. But after getting it on and seeing it in person, the gap isnt any bigger than the other generation Xs. The bumper needs room to flex, so the minor gap is probably needed.

BTW, it took us about 4 hours. However most of the time was because we had to bend some of my stock stuff back into place for the bumper to fit and other reasons I rather not say

That looks awesome. any chance of seeing some daytime pics. I have the 05 in night armor too and plan on getting a bumper in the coming months. I'm partial to calmini since its what I had on my first generation but haven't made my decision yet on shrock or calmini. Either way it will definitely be in black!

Yeah, i actually have the rims and tires. However, im waiting on the 5incher from SLR before i mount them. And yes, I will be using the spacers (I really want steelies ).

Mounting the stock fog lights were easier than i thought it would be. All you have to do is disconnect the harness (snaps off) before your remove the stock bumper. To remove the fogs from the bumper, its just one bolt and pinching a clamp. Then you have to remove the casing (4bolts per fog) and replace with a spacer provided. Then you use 4 new bolts (provided) per fog to bolt them to the shrock bumper. There is NO adjusting needed.

I agree, it looks great. I question the setback of the fog lights though, I can't imagine they can throw a very wide beam when they are set back in the bumper that deep.
