Grinding the caliper?

Grinding the caliper? - 18/09/06 02:42 PM

I called OK4WD.com for these in a 16x8, they told me that i would need to grind my calipers to fit them. Have any of you heard or done this on the 2000-2002? Did he misunderstand and think that I was ordering these for a newer, larger wheeled X?
Finally I was also looking into these Cragars , would these fit instead?
Please reply asap, I am truckless without some rims

I do know that with too much back space the AR rims will hit the calipers but that is 15" not sure about 16's.

I assume they mean they can shave them so no rub. I don't really see a problem if shaveing but too much could be a problem.

I would suggest just get a BS that does not rub. They may stick out and give a wider stance but that is what most of us have done.

I had pretty much those same wheels, but American Racing 767, 15x7, 4.5" backspace...no clearance issues in regards to calipers (my truck = 2002 X). They'll be up for sale soon if you want em'....hehe laugh
