General Grabbers ona 4Runner?

My future father-in-law has a '94 (i think) 4Runner...we were thinking about putting my tires on his truck, and me getting a new set. if i'm not mistaken, his tire size read 225/65/R15...do you think the Grabbers (265/75/R15) will fit???

my guess it they will fit fine. the 4 runer has nice, big wheel wells and the grabbers should fit with room to spare

I didn't really want to answer because I'm not 100% on the tire size transfers. Maybe tirerack.com can help. My gut feeling is they will fit, my Toyota rims were 15x8's so that might account for some of the difference, but they originally came with 31x10.5x15's

You can take the long way around and just swap one tire and rim to see the fit, they have the same bolt pattern.. I originally tried my 4runner Cragars rims with the 31's on the X, they fit nice even with the different offset, but didn't feel like playing with the T-bars at the time.

Hey NJX I just sold my old BFG long trails to a friend who has a 92 Toyo extended cab p/u and they have worked out just fine for him.Same tire sizes you wrote.

They will fit.

There isn't a Toyota truck (Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner) that won't handle a 31" tire stock.

i'm talking about my stock size grabbers, not the 31"'s i'm going to...
my question is will the actual tire fit on the rim.
my guess is they will, but i just wanna make certain before i go and buy the tires....

They should fit on the rim provided yours is a 15" and so is his. The width is prob 7" on both.

actually, its pretty funny...
my fiancee had her shower yesterday, and she took her father's 4Runner, and i took my X...
she was a few minutes in front of me, when my cell phone rings.. "I got a FUCKIN FLAT!!"
so, being a gentleman, i stopped, and changed the tire...now this is a good thing, because, instead of getting that tire fixed, he's just gonna take mine in a month...
but, i did get a better look at the tire, and it is a 225/75/R15...so, the only difference is in the 225/265...cool, eh??

I put my Generals on my friends 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee and they look great and drive better than their originals.
