Question about Tires and Lifting

Question about Tires and Lifting - 02/04/03 04:29 PM

I'm not really sure if I want to do a suspension lift or what not, but I am putting on an AAL and rear shackles. I'm also adjusting the t-bar in the front to give me a little bit of a raise. What kind of tires do you think I could run on these without doing any kinda of trimming.

Good one CharlieX! I've been "got" with that one before! [LOL]

jnacey, I had minor mudflap trimming with only 31's...with the AAL/torsion crank only.

I'm going to tell you right now that AAL's AND shackles is too much rear lift for the front UCA's. THe AAL's and shackles will lift the rear 2-4 inches depending on which combination and how much weight you pack in back. The factory UCA's can only be lifted about 1" (maybe 1.5" max if your truck is a bit low now) or so without alignment and suspension travel problems. So, even with the AAL's alone you will be getting an ass high stance. Add the shackles and it will just be rediculous.
