Question about Dueler A/T's

Question about Dueler A/T's - 17/06/04 08:39 AM

I need new tires and since I'm doing that I am also putting a 1.5" lift in. I have the stock 15" rims. I can get the Dueler A/T's in 265/75R15 which will fit my truck fine with the lift.

But the Revo's get MUCH better reviews, unfortunatly they do not make them in that size. They make 265/70R16 though...are they that much better that I should drop an extra $300 to get a stock set of 16" rims (on E-bay right now)?

Any other good tire recomendations?

Don't even think about buying 16" wheels!
Both are available in 31x10.50-15 which is just a hair smaller and wider than the 265/70-16.

And of course, you can always consider the 32x11.50 non-Revo as well...

If you want the Revo's, I'd get the 31X10.5R15. You'll save the cost of the 16" wheels and get a larger tire (the 265/70R16's only measure 30.61").

If it were my money, with the 1.5" lift, I'd go with 32X11.5R15 BFG A/T's or M/T's. It just depends on the type of wheeling you do and what you prefer.

Hope that helps.

How much modification is needed to make a 32" tire fit on 2001 X?

Actually I don't think that will work becauethe 11.5 says it needs an 8" rim...stock are 7"

This thread covers just about everything you need to know. Trimming shouldn't be too bad, just some plastic, no sheetmetal.

Plenty of people are running that width, no problems at all (with a set of stock rims).

Shocks are in the near future my friend...lol...

Now I have to decide between 32" and 31" tires (basically between the BF Goodrich T/A KO and the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo)...the AAL is in the picture no matter what!

Because his question pertained directly to 32" tires and 1-1/2" of lift (T-bar tweak and AAL or Shackles), I directed him to the most closely related thread to help answer his question more thoroughly.

The link to the sticky that you provided, judging by the questions he's raised so far, doesn't provide enough information.
