how's the ride? - 19/12/01 12:39 PM

Hey people. I'm about to add a body lift and suspension kit to my X. and just out of curiosity, I was wondering if the ride was any worse or better than the stock suspension, not that it really matters, I was just wondering.

A body lift won't affect your ride at all, with one exception. Your center of gravity is now up higher, thats all.
As far as suspension goes i guess it depends on which lift. I have the AC 3" kit with AAL's, and love the ride. Much improved over stock, especially in the rough. Overall my X seems less sloppy than it did before the lift. I also went with RS9000 shocks for their adjustability. laugh

Just a note here that there are no Rancho 9000 shocks that fit the Xterra correctly (lifted or stock), or have the correct valving.

About an inch too short, and half an inch too long when compressed.

Grady, if you are considering a body lift and suspension lift, think twice. The only thing the body lift gives you is the chance to run 33's instead of 32's.
In exchange you get all the headaches of raising the bumpers, and that cool tippy feeling.
