I'm looking into getting new tires shortly and I was wondering if anyone had tried the General Grabber AT 2? I want something that has the bite but not over the top.

THE AT2's are OK for an AT tire, they have a decent sidewall, and are a little less aggressive than the BFG AT ko they copied, but don't wear as long.

I got 72000 on a set of yoko golander MT they were agressive lil choppy at low speed and made a bit of noise on the highway (mt its what they do) now running hankook dynapro MT tighter tred so they are smooth and hum so far I love them they are 10 ply as well they have been great on and off road I drive a lot of highway and gravel lil bit trail when I have time

laugh

They are not 10 ply. Cut them open if you need to check. They CALL them 10 ply as they have the load rating that the old bias ply tires used to use 10 plies to get, back in the 1950's or so.

the grabber at2s have a 60,000 mile tread wear warranty and they should last way longer than the bfgoodrich all terrain. they are also a little more agressive than the bfg's. i had bfg all terrains before my at2's and only got around 30,000 miles out of them. and the at2's are a lot cheaper 800 vs 1200.

This is the reverse of my experience with these tires.

The BFG AT ko's last closer to 90k miles per set if you get the right size/load range etc....

..and people have been seeing the General AT2's wearing out after roughly 35-45 k miles.

So, while the AT2's are cheaper knock-offs of the AT ko's...they have not lasted longer, or worked as well off road.

Its possible that the BFG AT's were the NON- AT ko's, like the BFG rugged trail AT's, etc....and they are being confused.

TJ is right. The BFG AT/KO's come with a 60k mile warranty (mine did anyway) and there's been reports before supporting TJ's claim of 90k.

Goes back to the old saying, you get what you pay for. Point being, the Grabbers are a cheaper knock-off. They're cheaper for a reason.

they were bfgoodrich ta/ko all terrains and its possible that i just got a bad set or something because at 30000 they were very worn out. almost bald in spots. i went with the at2's because they have the warranty and there is no worries on my end. the bfgs didint come with any warranty and i didnt want to wast 1200 dollars when i could get something with a warranty for 800

Goodyear Duratrac....I've got over 40,000 on them and still have plenty of tread. Mostly freeway speeds of 70 mph

Which is about what I paid for my BFG AT/KO's WITH a 60k warranty! I've got about 15k on them so far. Barely shows any wear at all.
