'00 Stock fog light replacement

I am looking to replace my current stock fog lights, I have seen a couple of suggestions posted throughout this site - my question is do you also have to replace the lenses/relay/fuse when you upgrade to a little more "light"? Any help to a noob would be great -

People have put 55W bulbs in the stock housings with no problems as I recall, and the electrical stuff is certainly up to it.
