Will the 05 RF headunit fit into the 05 non-RF double din area? Is it just a simple plug-and-play?

The RF unit will fit as it is a double din unit.
Can you just plug and play - NO!
The RF unit uses a seperate amplifier that is under the passenger seat. You would need to get all the components and the wiring harness so it would be a lot of work.

hmm..
I think I am confused. Why wouldn't a RF unit from an xterra 03 fit into the stock head unit of a 05 xterra? All the connectors seem to be the same the regular stock head unit of the 05 looks exactly the same as the one from the 03.
I was under the impression that the 03 xterra rf head unit can be plugged into the regular 03 heard unit.
