'06 XT Stereo Removal

My first post and first Xterra. (Used to be a Jeep guy) I need to install an FM modulator and rout the accompanying wiring for a Sirius Sportster. Anyone have experience removing the necessary dash parts to access the antenna connection? There is ovbviously a removable "tray" right above the stereo, but it does not seem to readily come out with gently prising... don't want to damage the dash. No info seems available anywhere else.
