Metal clip for headlights - 23/11/02 12:23 PM

I'm not even sure what it's called, but on the 2001's and I'm assuming all Xterras and maybe frontier, there's a metal clip that holds the bulbs into the light housing. For those that have replaced them, what's the easiest way to replace that clip into both the holes? I can get one side in easy, but the inside clip on both lights posed problems when trying to put them back in. Is there an easy way that I'm overlooking to get both sides of the clips back in without a 20 minute struggle? smile Thanks in advance for the help! laugh

Just changed my bulbs tonight. If you tilt your head and look closely you can actually see each hole underneath. I found that by having the clip unclipped and hanging down slightly, I could squeeze and insert one side and then the other. Once both sides were in, I then pushed the clip back foward to lock in the bulb. Practice on the left headlight first since the battery makes the right side a little more of a blind job! Good Luck
