LCD goes off when lights come on

I searched the forums but couldn't find anything about this. This just started happening this morning. When I turn my lights on, even just the parking lights, the LCD on the stereo goes black. When the lights are off its fine. Everything still works fine too, there's just no display. Does anyone have any idea why this happened or how it can be easily fixed? Otherwise I'll just take it in for service. Thanks

FYI, it's not an LCD, it's a vacuum flourescent display. An LCD is like the odometer, your watch, calculator, etc.
