Using the steering wheel mounted buttons, I found out today that the radio can be turned on by presing the mode button. I either missed it, or it isn't in the manual.

Dr X - they are controls that allow you to control you radio/CD player. They are as simple to just vol up/down to even allowing you to change between CD and Radio and even CD Tracks and Radio Stations. Many new cars have these that work with the stock systems.
