Scan Preset Question

I noticed today that my 2001 6-disc changer Scan Preset button stops cycling through the presets on number 4. If I switch to Preset groups B or C, it seems to cycle all six like you would expect it to. Why would group A be any different? Is anyone else having a problem with this? Thanks.
