CB and FM antennas - 05/03/01 01:31 PM
Does anyone know about a FM reception booster or aftermarket antenna to imiprove reception? I have a station that I like that just barely comes in.
Also, what type of antenna mount do y'all use for a CB? I am in New York City, and need to get into parking garages. I have a handheld unit, but want to mount an external antenna for road trips.
Thanks

Hey, the first link is Ian's set up look under modifications. The second link is where I found the bracket and the third link is where I found the easy over.

Hope this helps.

Yes, thanks.
I just got a Midland 75-822 and will work on mounting the antenna.

If I use a magnetic mount antenna, and put something under it so it won't scratch the roof, will that ruin my ground plane?
Thanks
