Replacing Parking/Driving Lights on 2003 XTerra

Hi. I searched and found a "solution" to changing my 2003 XTerra's parking lights (the light with the stack of driving light over the directional). I took the wheel well liner off the passenger side and replaced the driving light easily. However, when I tried this on the driver side, the space was narrow that I could only fit a finger or two (barely) near the socket so I could not twist/turn the socket to get the bulb out. I even tried loosening the headlight assembly for more room but that was to no avail.

I now have a nice PIAA yellow bulb on one side and a dull amber stock light on the other side. Does anyone have another way I can get to this driver side bulb?
