Rockford Fosgate System in my 2009 Xterra

Having problems with my system. It is intermittent but very frustrating. I will be listening to the radio or XM, and the system starts jumping thru all the choices.. It will bounce from AM, to FM, to XM, to CD, to AUX.. It will not stay OFF when I try to turn it off; it just comes back on and jumps.. Then, it just stops and will start working normally. Sometimes it will do it when I am turning the steering wheel, and other times it will do it when I am sitting still.. Does this sound like a wiring problem or is the radio going bad? Kinda hoping for information before spending any money as I am not working right now and on a budget.. Thank you for any help you all can provide..
