interior dash trim - 08/02/01 02:46 PM
ok, i got a 2001 se & i am looking for a new dash trim to replace the factory color. Does anyone know where i can get a kit that is the same color as the hazard light button & rear defroster button? i think it's titanium but not sure. I am NOT looking for the brushed aluminum trim--the brushed aluminum is just a plastic coloring. i am actually looking for the titanium color & same texture--if it exists.
I know someone on this board--forgot who--has it for his 2000 X but he said it came straight from the factory.

Here is a picture of my brushed aluminum dash kit. I know it's not the titanium finish your looking for, but may still find this kit attractive.

I like your fog lamps. How hard were they to install and what kind of difference did you get?

For info on Piaa 1500xt install go to
http://www.xterraownersclub/ubb/Forum42/HTML/000044.html The Piaa 1500xt's make a world of a difference. I would recommend them to anyone.
BTW I'm working aon a new web page with the new IPF J-01 driving/fog and 1500's installed. Here is a quick pic though.

XXXTerra:
Dude,
The brushed alum. looks SWEET! Like it better than the carbon fiber. I was looking for something a little different (my other ride has the carbon fiber pkg). Was it easy to install? Who made your package?
Thanks.

XXXTerra:
Was your kit from Alka-Plus? If not, where?
Do the edges fit flush on the dash? I like the aluminum w/ the seat covers (which I have). Thanks for the info...and the new pic.

The dash kit was free and installed by the dealership before taking delivery. The shop that did the install was a local after- market accessories store. The edges fit great and the glue has never slipped, even after sitting in the sun all day. Here is a link to a place on the web that offers the kit
