It makes it a lot easier to know when to change your diff. add one of those cages around it and you have a cool looking useful mod. I always laughed at the aluminum diff covers, Cast aluminum would not make a good diff cover, not that polycarb would probably handle a rock slamming into it, but neither would polished aluminum....
Kinda cool. Gonna be popular at the auto shows, I'm sure.

FourWheeler did some testing on various diff covers, the Clear Gears fared pretty well other than the puncture test and having a dozer track drive over it. However they said with the ring gear/carrier supporting it it would have likely survived the dozer too.
