Calmini Bumper skid plate install question - 06/11/04 11:56 AM

My calmini bumpers is installed and after a week of searching FedEx figured out they delivered my winch to the other side of town. Now I'm ready to install the plate and I need to know where the rear attach points are located at. Unfortunately I didn't receive instructions with the bumper. I'm assuming the angled brackets that are included are for the rear of the skid plate but what do they bolt to? Thanks in advance

A very nice picture/diagram is shown here...

Found the spot and the bolts wont freaking budge. Until this point I haven't had a single bolt give me any grief. Hit them with some penetrating oil and I'll see if they will give an inch tomorrow. If not I'll have the dealer hit them with an impact gun on Monday and install the brackets when I have the master cylinder replaced.

Yea.... The bolts can be pretty tight... When mine was installed at Calmini, Steve just used an impact gun... He kept saying that he liked the easy way (the impact gun) than a ratchet...

put your ratchet on them, with the arm pointing down, have a buddy hold the up.. lay under your truck wo you can put your foor on the ratchet.. don't kick it, could fly off, but use your foot to push it.. your leg muscles are much stronger then your arm muscles..
