Electric Brake wiring question

Electric Brake wiring question - 16/05/05 10:15 AM

I'm looking at buying a flat bet, 16' trailer to haul all of our stuff half-way accross the country. I figure I could invest the money in a trailer rather than just rent a U-haul.

I've been looking a electrical brake systems and I'm just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to the complexities of installing the required equipment to tow a couple thousand pounds safely.

My X has a Draw-Tite towpackage already.

I've done some searching but with only leads to the hitches themselves. Not much about what I need for a trailer with a braking system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If your concerned, head over to a camper dealer and let them wire your tow vehicle.

Thanks. I'll look in to that. It doesn't seem like it's a really complicated job, but I don't know much about it. I just hope it's not an outrageous price for someone else to do it. The parts are relatively inexpensive.
