Tires from the Middlewest - 03/05/04 03:41 PM

OK OK OK I know this is a tire question BUT it pertains to the Midwest. Chicago people this is for you as well. I'll be there this weekend.

Not only am I having a hard time finding BFG's their "foreign made" tires, no metric tools here either, anyway, they want $178.00 for decent AT tires, Wrangler M/T's, BFG AT KO's, etc etc. per tire not including balance, install, rims, etc etc. California is getting 4 BGF AT KO's rims, install etc etc for 890.00ish. Does anyone know of a cheap tire place outside of the Madisn area?

Thanks in advance. Last weekend our farm & fleet took the BFG's off sale. [Wave]

I was looking at Sam's Club here in Crystal Lake. If my memory serves me correctly, the BFG MTs were $112/tire. I'll look into it again, but for some reason, that number is sticking in my head...

Sorry - That was for the All-Terrains

BF Goodrich® T/A KO - 31X10.50R15 - $108.74

There are also a couple of other good buys there as well -

Goodyear® Wrangler MT/R - 31-1050R15 C - $140.88
Goodyear® Workhorse Extra Grip - 31X10.50R15LT C - $115.44
Dunlop Radial Mud Rover 31x10.50R15LT - $91.14

You need to be a member of the club to buy crap from em, but I am a member, and if you need to, I can lie and say they are for my truck... [Wave]

I talked to the guys at sam and they told me that they can only mount stock size tires on any vehicle, and they use a little cheater book, and it only shows 1 tire that they stock. If they can help you lets us know.

So you go buy the tires at Sam's and go to a local mechanic shop and have them install them...Problem solved laugh

Hey Maximus....If you need someone with a membership to Sams, I could either drive to Madison, or you can come down here, or we can meet somewhere in the middle. I have a busiiness account at Sams... [Wave]

I'm selling my 265/75/16 Dunlop Radial Rover RTs. The're quite but aggressive. I put them right between a MT and AT. I tow too much to run that size. They have about 5,000 miles on them. $400 takes all 5.

I have one 265/70R16 BFG All Terrain that is brand new and has been living under my truck for a while. I want to get a 265/75R16 Mud Terrain. Did you order five tires and if not, do you want this extra one for a good deal. I am thinking about going to that Midwest Xterra Gathering FYI so I could bring it. Just thought I would let you know [ThumbsUp]
