April 4th Club Meeting

April 4th 7:00pm @ First Class Auto Body(Wally's Shop) Correct me if wrong, but I believe it is Civic Center and Thomas (Scottsdale).

There is a lift available to us if anyone needs it on that night...Adam, sure would make throwing on shackles/T-Bar crank easy.

Or we could meet a little earlier, head to the Coves to camp and wheel the next day before the triathalon meeting Sat the 5th at 3pm...? Just throwing it out there.

The May meeting will be either Peoria or Earnhardt Nissan. One is Westside one is Eastside. Probably put it to a vote at this meeting. Have never been to Earnhardt, and it has been a long time simce Peoria.

I will try my hardest to come to this one. my Skids should come in by then. So I can get them installed, lift my rear, and add shocks. I'm excited!

I hear ya loud and clear, that is why we are going to vote on the next location and also make a motiont to hold meetings every other month.

Gas prices are not condusive to driving all over for meetings, would much rather have good showings to Xcursions every month.

I'll try to make it on the 4th, but I do have to back out of the meeting on the 5th. My mom is begging me to go and take them with the rest family on a trail run ran by the church. They bent my arm and I've never been on this trail. It may be interesting since I haven't wheeled since December.

OK, I ordered my skids on monday, there's a good chance that it'll come in before next thursday, so if they do, I'll be up in phx on the 4th getting all this installed, and I'll come to the meeting.

I'm sure he will be there by atleast six.

Heay MadmanX, You plan on getting those pic's up? I would like to see how the wide lens worked out. Does anyone know the extent of damage Lucky13 is dealing with?

other than wont start because of what seems to be a spark issue. nothing. need to start delving deeper into it tho so i can start ordering parts if need be. plus i need to do a few other things i have been putting off for a while, like brakes (have parts will travel), possibly ball joints, pml, ect..
hell we could do a whole mod day on my truck alone at this point. cause im also in the process of getting wheels/tires also. so yeah lots o work. thankfully not a daily driver but i would like to be up and running for the triathlon..

and madman i would actually like to get all the pic/vids u have at some point, somehow..

No spark still? Well, when you figure it out or when you decide your going to do all those mods you will have my help for sure.

i plan on doing all those mods asap... but where is my issue since i live at an apartment complex. and when would others maybe want to help/watch/drink beer and watch..

funny thing ive been thinking about is that when wally ran a diagnostic on my X it came up a faulty knock sensor. im wondering if the knock sensor could possibly cause it to not spark.. its job is to advance or retard the timing. maybe it did so to a point that it cant work. its either that or the coil possibly inside the distributor cap that the replacement doesnt exist short of replacing the entire distributor..

Well we pulled your Dist. cap off and it was dry.

just dalked to wally, he had "his guy" look at it and said i need a new distributor. and that is only because nissan or anybody for that matter sells the coil sepretly..

ok heres the update:

changed distributor, crankshaft sensor.
checked fusable links, fuses, relays, brain.
so far same issue..

If was in your position...talk to TJ here on the board. He is back east and has hydrolocked his X sometime back.

He should be able to give you a great deal of insight.

spoke to my tech it might be the brain.

Also, if you have not paid dues for 2008...bring $25.

Add to the agenda to go over the parts and plans for the Frontier Lift on the 12th. Some parts where supposed to ship either yesterday or today.

I'll also bring up my collection of 4sale parts the the 12ths build off. And I have alot of them too.

****If anyone cannot make the meeting and wants shirts, PM me for my address and send a check payable to Arizona Xterra Club. We have the bank acct info changed over so Ted or myself can take care of it.

We REALLY need everyone to pre-order/pay for their shirts otherwise it won't happen. We will finalize and submit the order next Friday April 11th, so we need checks by that time.

Keep in mind that if people decide later they want shirts, the order will be much smaller and the price per shirt higher...

Hey Wally, thanks for letting me and my son hang out at your shop. What a great place for a meeting. Thanks everyone who helped me watch Braedon. He had a blast and slept 3/4's of the way home. Guess he gets that tub in the morning. Wally, I didn't find any green screwdrivers in his pockets so they are all in your shop.

Thanks to everyone that came to the meeting tonight. It was good to see everyone again / meet some new people.

Hopefully, I'll see some of you tomorrow at Saguaro Lake. If not tomorrow, then either on the 19th at the Table Mesa cleanup, or the 26th at the Triathlon Support (at Saguaro Lake).

Yes thanks to all who could make it to another great informative meeting and also the first mod meeting that i know of. it was nice to see new faces and club members . and a big thanks to Tim for the Pizza that was way cool and Ted for the refreshments.and Frank for driving to Scottsdale from Sedona and Yasha from Tucson everyone drove verry far to make this a big and fun meeting .

Great meeting. Anytime we can knock out a lift and get some official business done at the same time is a good day in my book.

To recap:
--Meetings will be every other month, with the next meeting in June at Peoria Nissan.
--Xcursions will continue to be every month. The Triathalon is April's Xcursion.
--May Xcursion is May 17th at Broken Arrow in Sedona. We will meet at the Chevron on I-17/Carefree at 6pm to depart at 6:30pm.
--Most people pre-paid for shirts and some bought stickers. If you did not pre-pay at the meeting, PM me for my address to send a check by Friday April 11th.
--We as a club will be volunteering at ASU fotball games to earn $$ for the club funds to pay for cool stuff we want or want to do as a club sponsored event.
--Mod Day at First Class Auto Body April 12th at 9am.
--Thanks to Ted for helping me out with the pizza and drinks enjoyed and appreciated by all.
