Me and a buddy of mine are heading out to box canyon and the coke ovens for some trail riding and some camping. We are leaving after work on Friday but anyone is welcome to join us for a little bit or the whole thing.

Nice - word on the street was that Coke Ovens was now off limits due to private land issues! I guess not tho if you guys made it there. I was in Box Canyon a few weeks ago - was so nice with that water running through.

I've heard this a bunch of times too... But I rolled up on them from a couple different trails and have not seen any postings nearby. I have also not seen any fences either.

BTW... How was the river crossing, was the water deep, or did you not check? And that's a heck of a scare down the side of your rig... Ya need to smack your spotter :p

I didn't cross the river to get there. I went the other way. Only overland. There was one tricky spot, and that is where I got scraped, but on the way back, not on the way to.
