Moving Sale - 30/01/04 06:54 PM

I'll be further liquidating shop items within the next couple of weeks by having some sales on the weekends.

Just thought I would drop a note here in case any of the club members were in need of something to work on their X. Here are some of the items.

- Small floor Jack (2 ton 13" lift) more for small cars or low profile vehicles like vans
- Small jack stands (3 ton 12" - 17")
- Small hydraulic bottle jack
- Custom jigs for building sliders by "Tonka"

- {SOLD} Large floor jack (3.5 ton 21.5" lift)
- {SOLD} Large jack stands (6 ton 15" - 24")
- {SOLD} Bench Grinder (Black & Decker 6" wheels 1/2" arbor 3500rpm, wire wheel, smooth grinding wheel installed and coarse grinding wheel included)
- {SOLD} Bench Vise (4" jaws 4-3/4" opened)
- {SOLD} Gorilla work bench on lockable casters (25" x 48" top, table height 38" additional 23" high back with peg board and 9-1/2" x 48" tray shelf on top. Also has a full width draw and lower shelf.)
- {SOLD} Lincoln Weldpak 100 Wirefeed Welder (110v mig / flux core)
- {SOLD} 10lb CO2 tank, regulator, guages and hose for airing up after wheeling.

I'll also be selling many more items including furniture, woodworking tools, shop supplies, gas grill, patio bar and chairs, lawnmower, and the list goes on, and on. I tried to keep the list here limited to Xterra related stuff, but if your looking for something you may want to drop me a line as chances are we may be selling it. No junk, all good quality and well taken care of.

You can contact me here, or email me at craigs-tonka@cox.net to discuss prices, get pics, etc..

Oh, and for those wondering, we are just downsizing by selling the house and going into an apartment until things turn around for us.

JohnnyX, you got pm.

I'll likely put all the answers to questions on the board as well since others may be wondering the same thing.

Just don't have the time to get to it tonight.

How about the jig for the sliders? Do you still have it? I am assuming you made your own sliders. With the jig does it make it much easier? Just a few questions.

Re: Moving Sale - 02/02/04 07:25 AM

Yeah, I've still got the jigs and templates for cutting the metal. Basically once you cut the metal to length, you lay it in the jig, tack everything together, take it out of the jig and fully weld it up and it will fit on any Xterra from that point. I made about 8 sets this way and they all worked well. The c-channels that I designed are typically tacked on when the sliders have been mounted on the vehicle as every vehicle has slightly different frame tolerances and these pieces need to have an exact fit.

I also have the design templates for an idler arm brace.

How much for the jig? I know I am in S.D. but I have family in PHX and we visit quite often. I am interseted in getting a set up to help out other X owners with some sliders and improving my welding skills. [ThumbsUp]
