calmini upper install - 31/01/07 03:56 PM

I just picked up a set....well more like finally got a set! Any of you AZ guys have any tips for the install? I have read some posts about the ball joint being a !@#$% to get off the spindle. Is this correct or do I have no worries?

I am going strong man, my X is good, just getting it together slowly. I need to make it to a meeting sometime again soon. I always see mod days and outings and really want to go but can never make them. I should have tires next week so I will be raring to go out and use them, I really cant wait to get in the snow.

Be careful if you go out alone and I hope you've noticed that we have the dates for most of the year planned out so it may be easier to plan time off for Xcursions, etc.

Those UCA's aren't that bad to do. Of course we were using pneumatic tools, pickle fork, etc. If it's an AZ X I don't see it being too difficult.

Good luck and hope to see ya around.

You gotta come out and represent the gen1's with me. I have been feeling a bit lonely out there lately with all the Gen2's.

...Shrockmas... Classic [LOL]

And sure Dan, you could always limit the travel of that gas pedal as well as don't flip that locker switch and other than Color you'd be right at home. laugh

Well, I think wheelin is a lot of fun, and I am ready for some trail damage so I am sure I will have to come out. I just hate that the meetings are always on the "wessssside".

I am taking th eplunge tonight on the control arms so wish me a nice easy install. See you guys soon hopefully.

I got the arms on, no real problmes other than hitting my hand with a hammer once! I will survive. My rig drives way better now than before. This week should be tires, and then some "testing" this weekend if I can wait that long.

you bastards talk all you want... [Wave] But this princess is going solid! [Finger] [Finger] I've been away for awhile just busy with school, the move and of course work.. I don't plan on wheeling the x much b4 the swap as the shmalmini steering is about to have a diarrhea explosion all over my truck, and I can't have that mess (it smells like shat). In addition, the rest of the front end sounds like an old lady trying to take the stairs to the top of the empire state building. I'm just having to be patient.. I will have the swap all done before moab though! Plus, at least I still have a gen 1! booooooooooyaaaaah! [Spit]
