Bad news ~ Good news

We'll start with the bad news: I'll be getting rid of the X at the beginning of August. We're going to 1 car for a bit and then most likely getting the 2005 X once the price settles.
I'll be getting a $3K to $4k Jeep for offroading and the X will be for pulling the pop up and general camping / trips.

Here's a pre-order list of everything available. I'll start with the local club and then open it up to everyone else with whatever's left. Place your orders! If it's one of the mechanical items, I'm going to set aside 1 weekend to take everything off and swap with the buyer if necessary.

The roof rack is gone. Someone in California emailed me and bought it before Moab.

The torsion bars were from the company that used to make Xterra parts and I think went out of business, but I can't remember the name and they don't have anything on them to determine.

The lift and torsion bars have been on for 2 years or 20k miles. Other than trips or offroading, the truck sits in the garage or driveway.

Wow sounds like a plan. Make sure to bring some Jeep parts when you go out with us!

Can you set aside the window deflectors and the shocks. I do have a question about the shocks though. If they are the shocks for the three inch I won't be able to use them yet. But if they are I'll be more than happy to take the shackles off of your hands. Let me know, and congrats on the upgrade.

Unfortunately, I don't really see it as an upgrade. A $3k Jeep for an Xterra that has gotten me everywhere and back...BUT you do watcha gotta do and it will be better because I won't care so much if I break it.

Travis- I got the shocks before the lift, so they'll work for you.

It is a sort of upgrade... my mildly modified jeep has gone places that more heavily modified X's have trouble... but you do loose comfort and a bit of style...

another major plus... when i had a wheel bearing grenade at 50mph(lucky i didnt flip) i went on the local jeep club site asked around and managed to get 2 wheel bearign assemblies for free... the jeep community really does stick together...

Now that's just crazy talk. Also, my current transmission - my second - is already starting to crap out. TRANNY #3 WOOHOO. The transmission problem is the only thing making me consider trading it at all, which sucks, because I love my truck and hate the idea of getting rid of it, especially for one of those with a cheater lever (4LO) I've pretty much talked myself out of getting an '05. It's just not doing it for me. Maybe if I can find another '03 Granite 5spd 4x4 I MIGHT consider trading.. bah, I don't know what I'm gonna do yet.

btw - Brian, you wouldn't happen to still have that Raingler net and the need to part with it, would you?

Would you be willing to split the exhaust/intake? I don't think the exhaust will work on mine (especially if you'd need mine for trade) but I'd like the intake.

Tremor, if you want the intake, and XROCK is willing to spit the set, I will take the exaust. Let me know if that will work for everyone.

It's the aluminized one- I shouldn't need yours because I still have my stock one.

If I don't go to GOX- would everyone be available to tear Xrock apart and switch things if necessary the weekends of 7/10 +11 and 7/17 +18 ?

I kinda want to get it done, so if we can swing it between the 2 weekends that would be good.
Plus if you're going to GOX- you'll have the mods for the trip. Spook- you'll have a little more lift to get you over the rocks!

The 17th/18th is good for me, payday weekend, and I don't think I'll be able to make it to Flagstaff.

Brian, first off, YOU SHOULD GO TO GOX!!!!!

Second, if you don't go, I could help you on either weekend. Do you think it would be feasable to remove parts from XROCK and install on my truck at the same time if we got an early enough start? I can bring all my tools, jack stands and a floor jack.

The guy taking my truck can't wait until the beginning of August like we originally agreed.
He needs it by the end of the month and there's no way I'll be able to get back and get it all off by the 30th.

If I bring up the compressor, we'll have it apart in quick order. Steering takes about 30 minutes or less to remove...same with the AAL's and shackles. Of course, that's all the stuff I'm buying....
