"Communications Officer," i.e. Police/Fire/EMS dispatcher & 911 call taker. I'm on a forced break from my first love, the airline industry, in which I spent almost 20 years with 3 different airlines before being furloughed by Delta in 2005. frown

I do enjoy my 10-minute commute though and it's nice to help people. That counters the daily wade through the shallow end of the gene pool. You truly wouldn't believe some of the low-lifes out there, and our jurisdiction is tame compared to an inner city urban agency.

Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door...after that I sorta space out for an hour...I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work....
