1st Annual SW Nissan Chili cookoff? - 27/10/05 09:00 PM

Alright, there's a thread on N4W about hot sc, and one about Chili (two of my favorite things laugh ) and I got to thinking ( [Uh Oh !] stand back), why not have a chili cook-off? The weather's cooling off and we can not only introduce NOOBS to AZXC (4 and 2 wheel drive [ThumbsUp] ), but party down wtih SWANKy too if they'll participate. This won't be a traditional meat/seasoning type cookoff, anything goes here; beans, tomatoes, peppers & onions, whatever? Maybe a saturday afternoon in a park somewhere as a show-n-shine/cookoff/grip-n-grin thing? Anyone down with it? [Smoking]

With enough notice, there could be some SWANKy's involved. Who's got a monster back yard?

No back yards smile .. I was thinking more of a park somewhere, maybe Mingus Mtn, or even something in central Phx (unless of course yall'd never seen Lake Surprise and our beautiful park and rec center laugh ). I figured before Xmas will be a nice time; a little chilly, a little chili, a nice afternoon just gettin' along. More to come..

I'd prefer something more central, than out in Surprise(ed you made it out here from Mesa on a single tank of gas).

Yeah, the Surprise thing was a joke  ... I too thought something more central would be better, perhaps Squaw Peak park or Dreamy Draw park. Don't be in such a hurry either, I'm sure no one's chomping at the bit to taste Chili ala Cambridge wink Ever read "The great Chefs of England? Great book, it's about 3 pages... [Laughing]
