Broken Arrow March 30th - 23/03/03 10:50 PM

Ok I am trying to rally the troops to do a Broken Arrow Trail run before it gets too hot. There are some people from Swanky who may be going as well. If you are interested please let me know which date you prefer since I am open either way. We will take a vote from all and go with that time.

Re: Broken Arrow March 30th - 24/03/03 05:40 AM

I might be able to go if it were Sunday- Jackel and Kuuipo are getting married that Saturday and I'll be spinning some tunes for their reception.

Re: Broken Arrow March 30th - 24/03/03 09:22 AM

Datz510 also wants to do Sunday and well that is better for me too so here are the details so far..
Meeting place 8 am Sunday March 30th at 4 Sons Chevron West of I17 on Anthem Way. Head up I17 to Sedona do Broken Arrow and spend the day messing around. We can do the pass over to the North side of Sedona which comes out on I17 if it is open or we can come back on the Great Western Trail from Cherry.

If you are interested please post here so we know that you are going.... FRS will probably be preferred on this trip... I have an extra so let me know if you need it.

Don't think Spooky will make it. I may be installing a sprinkler system in our front yard this weekend. frown

Then you'll just have to mow the grass, more reasons to miss x'cursions.

Throw some rock down and forget about it laugh

I don't think so. frown The entrance has a ledge that requires 4wd and there are a few other places that I don't think a 2wd would make it unles it was locked. [Wave]

I'm still planning on it- depends on how late (or drunk) I am from the Jackel /Kuuipo reception! [Too much XOC]

Got my window replaced from the Crown King snowball fight, btw~

Well if you are refering to locking the doors, I don't think it will help but I would give it a try. [Laughing]

Re: Broken Arrow March 30th - 27/03/03 07:28 AM

Yeah, I've always been worried about having something stole out of my truck, since I don't have an ARB locker. Why?

Because my insurance agent told me that I needed to have my vehicle "locked" for theft claims to be covered. wink :p [LOL]

Re: Broken Arrow March 30th - 28/03/03 09:21 AM

I just noticed this on the Arizona Virtual Jeep Club website.

If you think the traffic the Pink Jeeps generate on Broken arrow is bad, that will be a Sunday(excuse the expression) drive compared to the traffic the AZVJC will generate on Sunday.

Check out this link to the AZVJC site.

On that site they have a link to another planning site here . Looks like they have 70 or so people going, not sure if there will be 70 jeeps, but even if it's half that number, it will be crowded.

FYI, just in case you wanted to make other plans to avoid traffic. Pipeline Rd/Greasy Spoon is a fun drive to take. It's in the smaller AZ 4x4 trails book.

Re: Broken Arrow March 30th - 28/03/03 02:11 PM

Good info Andy thank you much you saved us a serious Traffic battle. We are still going to Sedona, we are going to do Soilders Pass and Greasy Spoon, if we have time then Broken Arrow after the crowd has left.

Let me know if you are in

Re: Broken Arrow March 30th - 31/03/03 12:03 AM

Well for all who missed it we had a great time in Sedona today. The people who made it were:
Datz510
KAFfrontier
Taco Supreme
Xcetra

Xrock where were you?

We did Devil's Kitchen and then Broken Arrow. We tested the new Calmini gears and rear locker, both worked great. Although rear locker was not really necessary on anything we did. We missed everyone who could not be there, which was just about everyone in the AZXC.

Re: Broken Arrow March 30th - 31/03/03 05:34 AM

Sorry- Couldn't go.
I was sleeping in from Jackels wedding and then helping build your rack while you were out playing, Grasshopper! laugh

Plus I had softball practice at 5-

Why didn't you guys do greasy spoon?
By "Devils kitchen", do you mean Soldier's Pass?

What is this softball thing you speak of? [Huh?]

Company team or what? If it's organized, you'll have to let us know when and where you play so we can come drink beer and be obnoxious wink

Re: Broken Arrow March 30th - 31/03/03 07:56 AM

Re: Broken Arrow March 30th - 31/03/03 09:06 AM

It's done except for the cosmetic grinding and making it look pretty. Looks good ~

Mike- the softball league is for work. We had our first practice last night. Our hitting was ok but we need some work with the infield. The league starts on the 15th of April-

Don't know that I'll be drinking it there, but you never know.

BTW Andy, the pictures of Sedona are great, as always.

You should be able to pick it up tonight or tomorrow. Now, on to the "move" since you brought it up.
