Morris County, NJ Dealer Recommendations Wanted - 29/01/02 11:00 AM

I'm shopping for a 2002 X and am about equal distance from:

Denville - Nissan World of Denville
East Hanover - Hilltop
Morristown - Warnock

Would like to hear any pros or cons regarding sales and/or service depts at these dealers.

Thanx.

Listen, you are in my area....I would go to Ramsey Nissan, they give killer deals on new 02 Xterra's, that is where I bought mine and told two other people to buy them there and they hooked them up, if you want see Nick (Sales Manager) tell him that zio.es sent you, he will know who it is and will give you a great deal, also tell them you are part of XOC, they love to here that...go luck cool

Most definitely Warnock Nissan in East Hanover. No BS or good cop / bad cop deal. Ask for Joe Hanson. Straight up salesman.

I bought my X from Hilltop (East Hanover) in June of '99 and they were pretty good. At the time it was more or less hard to get an Xterra under sticker – so my decision was based on what was available and how I was treated.

The Morristown dealership seemed gruff and generally uninterested in making a sale (IMO). They may have changed, that was over two years ago.

I've had my X serviced at Denville since '99 and they've been great. I'd recommend either Hilltop or Denville since I've had good experiences at both.

This is the place on Rt. 10 right? I only spoke to one guy, and he seemed pretty sleazy. I asked him for a test drive and he said "Only if you're going to buy it today." So left.

Even worse is the Nissan on Rt. 46 in Wayne. The guy there (Devon) insisted that the 02 X's came with leather seats standard. I told him I didn't want them and he said "We can take them out if you wish, the price will be $1,400 less". Now that's real sleazy (though he let me have a test drive with no problem).

I eventually went to Lynnes Nissan West, the lady there was great, and she beat the prices from all the other dealers I spoke to.

That's the first place I looked. In my area of NJ, they refered me to Hudson Toyota. The guy there couldn't find the X I wanted, unless I paid sticker, which has to be against some Carsdirect.com rule. So what I did is used that price as a reference. Just find out how much it's going to cost, and call up dealers in your area and ask them if they will match/beat that price.
