Who here's on the Big?

Howzit? I haven't been on XOC much for a long time... and am out of the loop on who here is on the Big. Anyone here? Ever do any trips?

I've always wanted to get a couple rigs together and go cruisin' the road around Mauna Kea... forget the name. It's the one that splits off just by the water catchment pit with the black tarp on the way to the top.

Here's another one. Does anyone know how the road up Mauna Loa from the saddle ends up? I wandered up to about 9 or 10 thousand feet one time, but wasn't prepared. It got a little gnarly and it was late.

p.s. If there's any chance of seeing some of the total lunar eclipse on 11/8, it would be from the top of mauna kea.

i guess that means nobody.

did a little excursion on mauna kea. it one good, gnarly, tire blowing section. otherwise was gorgeous. well, it's about time for the bfg a/t shoes anyway.
