GoX and Burning Man - 06/06/01 09:01 PM

Looks like Burning Man is immediately before GoX this year. Damn I wish there were a few days in between.

Anyone thinking about attempting both?

Burning Man is dead... Once the media got a hold of it, it hasn't been the same.

Very sad.

Was it dead last year or do you think this is the year it's dieing? I didn't go, but a lot of my co-workers went. It was their first time and it seemed to have a very positive experience on them.

I know only what I've seen through the "evil" media. Probably on E! or something.

It looks to be a mass spectacle of debauchery, drunkenness, and general mayhem.

Just a guess...

I've talked to folks that have been and it's definitely something I'd be down with. It's a gathering that promotes a community of freindship. Everyone involved somehow keeps a spirit of kinship for the world around him. At least, that's what they tell me ;-)

Looks like I might be telling my burning man buddies that I'm going to exclude myself from their experience so I can go drive my truck in the mountains ;-)
