SF Giants - 10/04/03 05:45 AM

I would like to point out that the Giants are on pace to win 161 games.

Of course now we have to start playing teams with winning records

All in all a good start to the season

Dusty who??

You gotta love this start. Yeah, exactly, Dusty who? It never was his managing that got them anywheres in my opinion. He is good with the players, but I don't think he is a great manager, as the Cubbies will find out.

Go Giants, by the way, I told you them Pirates are the team to watch.

Dusty? How about Jeff (I fell off my truck while washing it) Kent who?

Did anyone hear what Jeff said about the Giants uniforms? (Something about them being a "gay creamy color") What a two-faced bastard!

(Aren't the A's on that same pace? - Art Howe who?)

I know that Krook and Kuip talked about it this past week during a game and jokingly said they wouldn't let him get away with it, but unless Kent was quoted again recently, he actually made the comment originally back in 2000 when they adopted the new uniforms as Pac Bell Park was opening. He called it "French Vanilla." It was in a SF Examiner article.

I remember that "french vanilla" comment.

It must have been recent, KNBR was talking about it the other day on their morning show. The context was, someone asked him about how he liked being in an "astro's uniform" compared with the SF uniform.

He must have used that same "french vanila" comment from back in 2000.

The Yankees are also on a Pace to win 161 games. And the Royals are on a pace to win 162. I thought my feet where getting cold. (meaning hell has frozen over for those who need to be spoonfed the sarcasm) laugh
