white sox: do they have what it takes to make it again?

i know there are alot of haters out there, but for the real baseball fans, do you think that the chi-sox have what it takes to take the W.S. again?

Well, Manny, you know my love of the Cubs....however, I think the Sox have what it takes to get there as long as Detroit starts losing. If Detroit keeps on their winning ways, I'm not sure what will happen.

I see no reason why the White Sox couldn't repeat this year. Arguably, they are a better team this year than the team that won it all last year. Detroit is the flavor of the month right now. I think they'll make the playoffs, but I honestly don't see them getting past the first round. They have too many green youngsters that they rely heavily on. Detroit's biggest asset is Jim Leyland. If Chicago can get its pen in order, they are still the team to beat.

Yup, could be the first time in a really long time where the two World Series teams didn't even make the playoffs the following year.

Or going to the playoffs every year but getting your ass kicked when you do...

the whitesox didnt suck this year. they just didnt make it to the playoffs. its not like they are the cubs or pirates. now those teams suck ass.

Are you refering to the Twins? (Cent. Division Champs)

At least they get to the playoffs and are fairly competitve, with 1/3 the payroll of their opponents (Yankees)
