new nj owner (well co owner)

hello all,
we just bought a black 2001 se tonight! after looking at many suv's my girlfriend loved the xterra. she currently has a 96 cherokee with 50k on it which we are trading in on the x. gave us pretty good deal on the trade, 4700 for a bone stock jeep! anyway, we do plan on going off road.we live in rutherford so i doubt there is any place around her to go offroad. when i lived in morris county i used to take my toyota 4x4 somwhere off of greenpond road in rockaway. does anyone know if its still there? it was an access road off of a side street and i used to have a blast doing it.
anyway, i look forward to any trail rides and meeting fellow owners.
oh, she also gave me the thumbs up to do performance and suspension mods.........she's so understanding

The trail is still there...your talking about the one at the end of GreenPond Road near Rt 23. The access road is right near the railroad tracks right, and it goes around the resevior???

I've been back there once a few months ago.

We're going on a small trail ride this Saturday if your interested...VERY LIGHT trails.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm really looking forward to having the X and the occasional drive once i can grab the keys from the g/f.
