Caspirus Stone Quarry

Its in connlesville PA anyone ever been there
It has an underground portion for like a half mile and than it has a huge cavern you come out of. Ive seen pistures and there is a link to some OLD OLD page some guy had up with like 8 pictures.

What im wondering is has anyone been there recently?
Is it still open?
And is it at all Stock friendly?

Was it Powerguy? I think I remember him having pictures of his X in some sort of cave.

That page looks to be about 2 or 3 years old.
It looks like a wonderful place to offroad and i just need to know if my stock X can handle it.

I've been there once, wasn't terribly challenging (well, not mandatory), though the river crossing can be daunting if the water is up! There's more to the area, supposedly some can be fairly tough.

Still open, still stock friendly, though there are some very hard area's too. The area to the caves has been bulldozed, as major rocks have started to fall. I actually almost got taken out by a boulder that missed my head by about 4"... Scared the shit outta me, and I will not go back in those caves. You can still get your truck up there, but the way into the caves is blocked by a huge fallen piece of ceiling. It really is dangerous.

WPAXC is going up there again sometime in Feb. We go there alot as it is really close to most of us.

If you guys do go up there in feb i might be inclined to see if yall would let me join ya.

Casparis (Connelsville) is about 45 minutes outside of Pittsburgh, so it's a decent drive from Philly...
