jim desbians auto repair - 22/08/01 06:55 AM

has anyone used jim desbians auto reapir in east rutherford for anything? or I think it's meadowlands 4x4 next to him. i was driving by pretty quick, didnt get the whole name.
i want to find a good place that can do the exhaust on the X and change the shocks. The place I took the Stang to for the exhaust is down in Pa and i really dont feel like driving an hour even though they did an excellent job.
We haven't even picked the X up yet, and I'm already planning mods. smile
1 day and counting! and the stupid dealer forgot to order the rear cargo mat and dog gate......grrrrr

I don't know about the jim place, but Meadowlands 4x4 has been there for at least 15yrs. I haven't done any major mods on my truck yet, so I don't know. But, Meadowlands is pretty popular among 4x4's in the South Bergen area. So I assume he does good work.

I like that! A shock install party. "Uh honey, some of the guys are coming over so you have to leave but you can't take the Xterra"
I can see where how that would go smile

Well unfortunately they have a full line of American trucks right now. A Yukon, 2 Explorers, a Durango, and one car, a Crown Victoria. Unfortunately the vehicles come from State grants and they don't have a choice of make or model. The chief you saw, I know for a fact is a big "buy american" kind of guy. So, I doubt we will see any xterra's with light bars and maltese cross' on them in town. We can continue to hope though! wink

also, you have to keep in mind that ALL state official vehicles, like police cars, and what not come from Warnock...
HOWEVER, Warnock DOES carry Nissans, and you can tell your police cheif two things...
1) The Xterra is assembled in Smyrna Tenn.
2) A LOT cheaper than a Durango or Explorer, so he'd be savin the taxpayer's money... wink
and if he don't like that, tell him to go F himself!

I plan on doing new shocks and AAL (Add a Leafs) within the next month or 2. We can do the install party at my house if you want....although I'm pretty far out, in Sussex County, I have a large driveway, that can accomidate everyone, and air tools.
