Dinner next week

Are we still planning on having a dinner next Friday night? Don't know when the board will be back so figued we should talk about it here.

It is the 19th (sorry a woman took the 12th as an option.... )...I had posted a poll before the site went down....where....I was thinking in the area around TJ is a good middle point for us...not sure how many will be attending... :rolleyes:

The 19th is not too bad for me...I have an infrared project that day in NYC...and I'd be on the way back from that around dinner time-ish.

HA, i told you a that would happend and you made some smart ass comment to me.

I,we, will be there but most likly I will leave the X home. I get such good gas milage on 295 not to mention i can drive 75-80 in the BMW.
I am not 100% that Julie can make it yet but will know soon enought.

The class I'm teaching gets out at 4:30 PM, but its at NYU (Manhatten), and that time's a bitch to escape from NY.

I could make it to a 7/7:30 -ish diner though if its close enough/no one crashes in a Tunnel, etc.

Any Rt. 1 restaurant will be way to crowded and take too long to eat. Especially typical places like Chili's, Applebee's, etc.

How far are people willing to travel?

How about Fezziwig's in Hamilton?

There's a great place in Princeton for Thai food...my wife's a vegetarian, and its one of her favorite places...and I've never had anything bad there either.

There's the chains, etc...pretty much you name it, there's something that serves it.

I tried having the last outing at a Thai place, people didn't like that.

Also, try not to mention the "v" word when talking about dinner, people freak.

Suggest going to Hooters and a bunch of people will jump on board...for the food, yeah, it's the food.

So -as I was saying...we want somewhere where we can gnaw on recently deceased or ready to be deceased organisms while looking at plentiful yet decorative mammaries?

id rather gnaw on the plentiful yet decoritave mammories...I mean if thats ok with everyone else.

How about TJ lets us know of a few good smaller size places around with a liquer license. I would rather not go to some huge corporate chain, but that is just me. I am sure there is a small town bar some where around there.

Oh, I was being sarcastic about going to Hooters. I've been against going to Hooters for dinners quite a while now, and pretty vocal about it.

I guess you may not remember recent dinner battles on the message board.

Also, I'm a vegan, and of course, a member of Peta.

I know, I know...that's why I changed it to list organisms rather than animals, for those that will only eat less sentient beings...

There's a Pub in Hamilton I am considering.

I was considering Bills Olde Tavern...I haven't been there in a couple of years....(I don't get out much...) but it was good then at least...I was going to call them and see what's up.

Its off 295 for the most part, I figured it wouldn't be too hard for the lost boys to find.

Bill's is a great place. But can you say c-r-o-w-d-e-d on a Friday night? You would have to get there real early.

Yeah -That's why we need to get a reservation...no one can get out of work, etc...and get to Bills before around 7:30 PM...

As soon as I have a reasonable guestimate of how many will be in our party, I'll call and make the reservation....they said no one typically calls until Friday for a reservation for Friday night...so If I know before 8PM Thursday, we will have no problem calling it in.

I'll be calling the Tavern tonight to make arrangements once I have a final head count...if I can, I'll make it for 8-10 or something, to give us room if some late comers want in.

I called, and we are set...with the caveat that we will be right behind another large group, but no one is reserved after us...ie, they dally too much, we might have to drink at the bar for a bit before we're seated to eat....but we can dally all we want.

i will be there to dally around 7ish?

But mostliky without the trucks. for some freakin reason my battery keeps dieing. Less then a year old too.
