Hi Oleg,

There are a few legal trails in Ringwwod State Park. I got the info'from www.goole.com
I typed in "Ringwood Jeep Trails" and got a bunch of info', but haven't found out yet where the trails start or finish.

Is anyone doing the trip on the 19th August?

Paul.

There is a "new" trail I just discovered. Or at least it's been cleared and labeled. One end is off Livingston Ave. in Livingston (right past 280 overpass), and the other end is off Bloomfield Ave. in W. Caldwell (behind the Jeep repair place, across from Kings). It looks like a fire road for the most part, running along the powerlines, but I haven't seen much of it yet. I tried to get in the other day, but there was a very big rock which had washed onto the trail from the hard rain we had. It could probably be moved by a couple of burly guys, but I couldn't move it alone. I didn't have the nerve to try to get around it since it was muddy and I was alone. Anyway, let me know if anyone thinks they can stop by and check it out. I am curious what's on the trail. If it's continuos from end to end, if it's just dirt or gets rocky. It should be about 3-4 miles or so?

darlene,
i know a guy who drives a Land Rover DII who runs those trails (i think..) are you talking livingston ave past 280????
actually, those aren't the ones he spoke of...
he was saying that there are trails off of Eisenhower Pkwy on the right as you go towards Roseland...the entrance is pretty much right past the overpass after Passaic St.

Yes, I am talking about the one off Livingston Ave., right after 280. Just bummed about that boulder. :-( As for Eisenhower Prkwy., I will check that out. I just moved, so this is all new territory for me.
