Any X owners in iowa

Hey I did a search the other night to see if there was a thread for Xterra owners in Iowa and the results turned up negative.

I was wondering if there where anyone that lived in the Eastern Iowa region (Iowa City, Quad Cities, Cedar Rapids, etc, etc..) that would ever be interested in doing some off-roading.

I feel so Alone

I'm in Des Mones. I haven't been visiting the XOC near as much as I used to, otherwise I would have chimed in.

I've never been wheelin' before, so I would need my hand held. I would be interested, though. Shoot me an email.

I used to live in Cedar Falls. I was wondering where you would go off road in Iowa. I would think driving over the tractor ruts would get old after a while!

That's what I was thinking. I didn't think there was a place to go wheelin'. Looks like I'll be making a trip to CR.

Besides hitting the Level B "enter at your own risk" maintenance roads (which if it rains allot can be come a handful) around here, the only place I can think of to off road is at 600 Acres which is not far from Cedar Rapids. 600 Acres is about 1-2 miles north of Solon Iowa.

Your next option would be to become friends with a farmer that owns some timber areas.

I'm going to start keeping my eyes open for areas to off road legally at. I'll let any that is interested in on what I find.
