EOE Sliderz - install question

EOE Sliderz - install question - 30/10/01 09:39 AM

Do the Sliderz mount to any particular side? On one slider there is an additional flat piece of metal welded to the flat piece that bolts to the truck. It's on the end and I currently have it installed at the back on the driver side. It does cause the back of the slider to noticeably stick out farther than the front. So...
Is this normal?
Why would it be on one slider and not the other? The other slider, passenger side, only sticks out slightly farther than the front and is probably caused by the fact that the flat piece that bolts to the frame overlaps a weld point in the back.

By the way, great job packaging those bad boys up.

The flat shim should be welded onto both rear mounts, this piece is on there because the leaf spring perch will not allow the slider mount to sit flush with the frame when tightened down. The shim is only 1/8" thick and the sliders can appear to be sticking out more in the rear but it is an illusion(the rear will only be out 1/8") since the body curves a bit. Check to make sure the rear shim is sitting flush with the frame, it's possible it might just be touching and pushing it out a bit. I can send you the other shim which you can place behind the rear mount or can have tack welded in place...e-mail me at EOE as I want to make sure you are totally satisfied with your purchase.

Thanks,
Todd
