Re: Pics from goneMOAB - 30/05/05 04:43 PM

We spent the day in Arches NP today. Did some hiking and then the wind and rain came blasting in. I love this place! cool

(We had to check out of one place and check into another so I couldn't join the run this morning... frown )

EDIT: Here's an exciting pic!

EDIT #2: Here's another from Tuesday - took my daughter up Onion Creek out to Kokopelli Trail. Only saw two motorcycles in the 3 hours we were out there. smile

Great pics guys. [ThumbsUp]

(FYI, there's an "Event Photos" section where each person can start their own thread - that way they're easier to view rather than one super long thread. smile )

Ouch...who be this and what happened? Between this and Carlton evidently being down to 2WD at some point sounds like there was some decent trail damage... Smashed X...

Re: Pics from goneMOAB - 05/06/05 10:05 AM

Wow. That sucks. [Uh Oh !]

Carlton had some axle shaft issues, but that was a minor inconvenience compared to the smashed X... Dang. frown

That's Eric P. from RMXC. Not sure what happened [Uh Oh !] I passed them on the way out to Metal Masher (in the rain) as they were returning from Gemini Bridges. I heard one of them say they were headed to Kokopelli Trail on their way back to CO. I hope no one was hurt. It was great to meet Troy and Rob, and seeing Kevin again. I'll see ya'll soon in the mountains [ThumbsUp]

Re: Pics from goneMOAB - 05/06/05 04:45 PM

Stay off of Kokopelli Trail if it is going to rain.

That is Eric P X. We were goin about 15-20 and I started to slip sideways on the CLAY roads. I slid slowly for about 50 feet then I saw eric coming at me slow, I could see the ABS kicking slow, and he slid over 100 ft into my rear. From the time I saw him until he hit I could have unfastened my seat belt and stepped out with out a problem. Quote from some one else "Slicker than buttered DUCK SHIT!!!"

I only have minor damage to the skid row bumper. He basically hit the tire and it took the hit of the truck and bent in a bit.

We spent the next 2 hours pulling it apart and pulling the radiator out of the fan/engine. He was able to drive it all the way home and at speed.

Re: Pics from goneMOAB - 05/06/05 07:09 PM

There were a few people that said that had some good pics of me on trails. If you have some please email the files to me at nissanclay@mac.com I want to print a few up so the higher the res the better.

Thanks. I had a great time and can't wait to see everyone next year.

Clay is ugly!!! Glad nobody got hurt. Looks like the zip ties are busy at work.

Like Todd said, time for some front end upgrades... just do it! SAS, fenders, bumper...
