I was looking at the pic of your bent tierod and noticed something else..

Did you know that your UCA's are eating away at your rim? Look closely at the pic and you can see where the UCA's have been shaving material away from the rim. You might want to check that out...

Sure that's the UCA doing it? I had a similar (though far less severe) scrape when I lost one of my caliper slider pin bolts last year. I drove about 100 miles with it like that no problem, but disturbing nonetheless.

Either way, definitely something to look into.

The SLR arms do that. I had a problem with them tearing off wheel weights.

The solution is to turn out the steering stops a bit.

This is one of the unstated features of the SLR 'non-economy' UCA's. I feel that they should be called the ECONOMY UCA'S:

Frequent alignments due to design issues, replacing front tires due to alignment issues, damaging the inside of the rim and removing balancing weights, and other issues including possible interference with other suspension and equipment.

Again, I appreciate the heads up. While in Moab, I was truning tighter, (and bouncing higher) than I usually do in town. I am thinking about entering in the "jumping" competition at our upcoming 'low-rider' car show.

Okay, so don't get me started with the whole XXX vendor issue.

The Calmini arms do that as well if you have 15" wheels. They did not shave as bad, though.

I adjusted the steering stops, but they still contacted. I changed the weights from clip-on to stick type to prevent the clip-on weights from shaving off...
