Location Of Where Your Commming From?

I just wanted to see where everyone is comming from? See if our routes would intermingle and see if we would have a couple spots where we would run into each for a big X Caravan.

Lubbock Texas Here.

Most folks will have to filter through here (Denver) on I-70 to get to Moab.

We can all struggle up to Eisenhower tunnel and Vail Pass together.

I just found out finals week for school has been moved from the week of the 15th, to the week of the 22nd.

Hopefully I can take my finals early....

Anyway, I will be driving from the S.F. Bay Area on the 20th, and staying in the Salt Lake City area that night. Maybe we could meet somewhere along the way? I will be on I 80 from S.F. all the way to Salt Lake.

what are the road conditions like in May on I70 coming from east heading that way? Do we expect snow and ice on the roads?

At GOX 3 or 4 we had a bunch caravanning from the south and east. Somebody (Carlton?) arranged with a local Nissan dealer in like Phoenix or Albuquerque to sponsor a breakfast.

We all met there and did a bit of showing off, ate breakfast and headed on down the road. Even picked up two characters there Was a great caravan from there. The dealer even gave us special T-Shirts

I wonder how this would work out for GONE??

To the Texas guys and others coming through Texas, what are the routes you are takeing? Im in Lubbock, Im leaving Lubbock on the 20th stopping in Albuquerque for the night to pick up my father in law ( Im sure he would be ok with folks staying the night if some would like. Leaving the morning of the 21st for Moab. Ill be off the 19th doing last minute prep. work, for any interested there is an Autozone 5 Mins. from my house and I have quite a few tools. And for the first few folks my house is open.

I have 4 weeks off this year for the Moab Trip…SO I'm definantly going to GoneMOAB 2006 this year!!! I'll be heading out from: Mountain View, CA!!!

Plans are in the works, but so far, it looks like we are going to drive down to SoCal to meet up with the SCCX Club and attend the Xterra West Championships on 5/20/06 in Vail Lake Resort, Temecula. (Thanx Brian for the invite). After the awards, we are all going to head towards Flagstaff, AZ. To meet up with the AZXC Club, then east up into Navajo Nation and stay the night in Utah at "The Valley Of The Gods". From there it's another 6 hours into Moab. We'll drive up the Mokee Dugway, stop to see some ruins and get some pics. Once in Moab, I've got a cabin reserved in Moab Rim Village, Condo #G-2 for 7 nights. (Arrival Date: 21 May 2006 & Departure Date: 28 May 2006)
