Recovery Strap

Recovery Strap - 14/01/10 08:04 PM

I am looking for an inexpensive recovery strap to give to my father to keep in his Xterra. With all the snow storms and stuff around here lately, it might be a gift he would appreciate having. I already have a Masterpull in my truck, but am not looking to spend that type of cash. I am looking for a well reviewed 20k pound 30' strap for $30. I may be asking for too much in that price range.

Try 4wheelparts.com. They have a selection of Smittybilt straps that should fit the bill.

Depending on where you live TSC is also a good option.

spend a few bucks more for a little piece of mind and get a 3 in. x 30 ft rated for 30k.

Is 30k realy necisary? I have a 7/8" 28k Kinetic rope and all, but wonder some times if the weight of the Xterra in a hard "yank" will stretch the strap. I most comonly see 3X the vehicle weight recomended for strap rating, which would put the X in the 20,000LB catagory.
