Recovery straps - 05/03/01 05:47 PM

There has been some talk about where to find GOOD recovery straps for off roading lately and I thought I would share this with you guys.

D&A wire rope in Austin TX not only stocks many different sizes and lengths, they also custom sew straps to your specs.

So now you can buy that 3X52.5' triple ply strap, with loops in the end. Probably not efficient for a single order, but as a club purchase, you might be able to save some dough and get exactly what you want.

Rockin' prices on shackles too. Screw $20 bucks for a 7/8 in. (ARB tow point) shackles from all the 4x4 shops. $9 dollars and some change will take it home. $13 will get you 1" shackles! If you have a receiver hitch, those will fit perfectly through the hole and provide a rear strap point!

If you are concerned about quality, I can assure that you will be satisfied. We used this company when I was building radio towers several years back. If we can stack a 20,000lb tower section with this gear, you can snatch the most stuck Xterra in the world with no problem.

D&A - 512.385.6190

Good luck

I will check with members up here in Dallas to see if we can get a group buy going..

We will have to decide as a group what we are looking for in a strap..
