Anyone has any preference of auto hub or manual hub? why? why not?

I like manual hubs for the simple fact is that I want my hubs to be locked at all times. The Auto hubs unlock every time u go into reverse.

scott, have you changed your auto hub to manual one?? if you have, what brand did you get? (I am getting a warn manual hub)

I will say that I do prefer the manual locks to the auto, but your belief that the autos unlock when you go into reverse is incorrect. as long as there is any form of drivetrain power going to the axles, they will remain locked, even in reverse.

Yeah, but I think he's talking about those first few seconds in between being stopped and backward motion. I've always thought that they will take a second to lock in reverse. COuld be wrong...
