Aircharger and Emissions Testing

Aircharger and Emissions Testing - 21/07/03 05:00 PM

Just installed my K&N Aircharger on my SC X....I love it laugh but haven't heard from anyone who's done this and gone through their emissions test yet . Anyone have stories to tell about their experiences? I really REALLY don't want to remove the kit just for an emissions test if I can avoid it. I am in Alaska so if any of you have gone through the Alaska IM test with the aircharger installed, I would love to hear from you!

Mine passed Colorado's tough testing easily.

I've wondered that too.

What if you took the air filter off completely, it's still just air going in. As long as the air routing and MAS aren't altered, there shouldn't be any change.

FYI in CA if you don't have a CARB sticker for a modification you normally will fail the visual part of the emissions inspection. The FIPK comes with the magic sticker [Freak] so there are no worries on that one.

I should have been more specific--the visual inspect is my primary concern....I didn't think that the actual emissions would be affected. I will just have to hope I get the inspector who's new and doesn't know any better!!!! :p
