Thanks for the comments guys...

I am leavig the country on tuesday... so the dyno will have to wait untill i get back (Sep. 6). But there is a shop around here that does 4x4 dynos, and i believe that they have the abiliy to take the wheels off and hook the dyno machine directly up to the axle.

You are a filthy, dirty, whore...but it looks great and I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't do it, providing I had a 2nd gen and the cash laugh

That dude on YouTube is a fag.

nice...but sadly all that s/c did was make up for all the extra weight you added (bumpers + larger tires, etc.) I love that stillen stepped up to the plate but would NEVER spend as much as they are asking for the kit...it just isn't worth it imo. Maybe when the price goes down i'll consider it a little more seriously.

That is killer, supercharging is the way to go. Most chargers add 40 to 50% more power. 300 plus hp at the rear wheels, now we are talking. You only live once, do what makes you happy! Congrads!!!!

My '08 is newly supercharged as I type. Very nice and highly recommended. Stillen has a good kit going here.

The real point behind the supercharger is not to get from point A to point B faster. It's all about driveability. The new torque curve is fatter from 3K up; less shifting (not that shifting is a big deal), more passing power when loaded. It's not the same as my old Armada in terms of torque; hp is darned close; and the XT was pretty good in stock trim.

Offroad value is only in broader torque spread in a given gear range, gives a little more flexibility in gear selection and less need to shift when crawling.

Will see what fuel mileage does this weekend.

Re: Supercharged!!!!! 06 Xterra - 24/04/10 03:32 PM

21 mpg highway, 17 city - 1 mpg better than without the supercharger, more likely due to better fuel management. Passed a slow driver at 50 mph in 6th gear, was at 80 when I tucked back in. Performance is smooth as silk; if you didn't know there was an engine mod, you'd never guess it. The piggyback management system only kicks in when the blower is making boost; otherwise, the stock ECU handles the fueling.

Will see what the mileage is like with the Pulstar plugs.
